Week #28

Week #28
Hello Third Trimester

WOW!  We are now in the final trimester...  Approximately 12-weeks and we will be parents!  Chris and I are so thrilled to be starting this next chapter in our lives!  We get so excited about Baby Brixen.  Every time we see baby clothes, diapers, or anything really, we start to get emotional.  It is such an exciting time, especially with the holidays!

This week was a short one!  We both worked on Monday and Tuesday.  But I left Wednesday open to bake and get any last minute items for Thanksgiving.  I will have a long blog post later about our Thanksgiving with videos and photos.  We have had a very fun-filled, relaxing weekend thus far!  I definitely am confused on my days, though!

Not too much went on this week...  Next week, we will be busy with a couple of important meetings, deals that need to be closed, and getting ready to travel to MI for our Baby Shower next weekend!  We are looking forward to seeing my family, it has been since the end of October.  It is always nice to go back to MI and relax!

Be sure to check back soon for a Happy Thanksgiving blog update.  We will have at least two videos and some photos to share with all of you!  And, of course, I write about our entire weekend.  I just love blogging...  Enjoy!

Baby Shower - Harrisburg, PA

On Friday, November 12, 2010, Chris and I flew to Harrisburg, PA for our Baby Shower with family and friends.  We had this weekend planned for awhile so it was something everyone was looking forward too plus his parents, Sister, and our nephew flew in from FL.  It was a nice weekend full of family, fun, food, and memories to cherish a lifetime!

To recap our weekend...  On Friday, we took his Grandma to lunch when we arrived in Harrisburg.  By the way, it is much nicer to fly directly into Harrisburg than flying into Baltimore and driving.  Anyway, it was nice to spend some time with just us and Grandma.  We all had some yummy salads!  That night, we went to a local bar (smoke-free!) with some of his family.  Chris had a Miller Lite and some wings.  I enjoyed a Diet Cherry Coke.  After, we headed to Chris' favorite place, YP (Your Place).  We chowed down on some Stromboli.  It was like Christmas for Chris.  He enjoyed that very much!  Friends and family stopped by so it was a nice, relaxing evening!  Of course, we were tired from getting up so early and traveling.  We headed back up the mountain, where his Aunt Judy and Uncle George live and we went to bed!

Saturday, we got up and went to meet Chris' grandparents!  This was a very exciting time for all of us!  We also got to see his Uncle Tom, his Wife, and his cousin, Signourney.  I posted photos from the weekend on FaceBook.  I am sure most of you have seen them already.  We spent most of the afternoon there, talking, and enjoying ourselves very much!  But our Baby Shower started at 4 PM and his Aunt Judy wanted us there at 4:15 PM so it was time to head back up the mountain.

Baby Shower Video - Harrisburg, PA

We had such a wonderful time at our Baby Shower!  It was so great to be able to spend that time with family and friends.  We played some fun games and got a lot of really nice gifts.  Brixen is set with blankets, which is great because it sure does get cold here in Chicago.  Also, Brixen got some cute clothes and a Lion Wall Art, which we have already put up in his nursery!  There were so many great gifts.  We are very thankful for everything we received but also feel so blessed that we have such wonderful family and friends.  THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Next time we see Chris' family and friends, we will be parents and Brixen will be with us!  It was definitely hard to say good-bye to our family, especially his parents, Brittany, and Caleb.  It was such a short visit but so memorable.  We look forward to seeing all of you hopefully next Summer!  Baby Brixen will be very excited!

Preparing for Childbirth - Class #4 (Last One!)

Last night, we had our final Preparing for Childbirth Class!  I can't believe it has already been 4-weeks since the class first started.  I always say this but I time sure does fly by!  ;)

Chris and I both enjoyed Preparing for Childbirth.  It was a great experience for us and we definitely recommend it to other couples.  Not only is it a great way for Mommy/Daddy to bond but also we learned a lot of great techniques and little tips to help us along the way.  We especially enjoyed the breathing/pushing techniques, the general discussions, and surprisingly the videos!

When we first started the class, I thought for sure that I wouldn't want to watch a video on someone else giving birth, however, a baby being born is such a miracle.  It was amazing to watch!  It made me get teary-eyed!  And, we both are started to get even more excited about the birth of our son, Brixen!  If it is possible to get even more excited!

Our last class, we practiced our breathing techniques, which is relaxing!  In addition, we watched a video on an Epidural Birth and a C-Section Birth.  The Epidural really doesn't look all that bad.  BUT I am still hoping to have a Natural, Drug-Free Birth.  I am keeping my options open, of course, but ultimately, I want to give birth vaginally.

This class has really helped us realize that we want to stay at home as long as possible before going to the hospital to give birth.  Our home is very close, about 10-minutes.  It will be nice to just walk around here and have Chris take care of me in the comfort of our own home.  So, that is the plan!

We are looking forward to our next class...  1st Time Parents.  There are two classes, December 9 and December 16.  We are not sure exactly what takes place in this class but we are hoping to learn a lot since we are 1st Time Parents!  :)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Daddy Felt Brixen Move!!!

Well...  I know I already did a blog post this morning (so be sure to read the post below this one for a Week #27 Update) BUT Chris felt Brixen move for the first time this morning!  For weeks, I have been trying to get Brixen to move for Daddy.  Every time Chris would put his hand on my tummy, Brixen would stop!  I think he thought it was funny!

This morning, we were watching TV in Chris' office (we have a pull-out bed in there) and I started to feel Brixen move.  I quietly said, "Honey, look at my stomach."  WE COULD ACTUALLY SEE HIM MOVING AROUND!!!  He was such an active little baby this morning.  I have noticed he is active in the mornings and later at night, but this morning it was double-time!

It was strange to see my stomach move...  We were just sitting there and it was like waves in my tummy!  I told Chris to give me his hand, thinking maybe Brixen wanted Daddy to finally feel him move.  AND HE DID!  Chris felt him move twice.  It was a special moment!  We both had tears in our eyes and started giggling!  FINALLY!  :)

Brixen also woke Mommy up at about 4 AM because he was moving around but I sure didn't mind.  It is such a wonderful feeling.  I can't wait to meet our Baby Boy!  WE LOVE YOU BRIXEN!

Week #27

Week #27
Baby (Brixen) Bump Photo

It was a busy week for the Keller Family...  As you all know, I passed the State and National Exam for my Brokers License on Wednesday.  Thursday, we had an OBGYN Appointment and Brixen's Nursery Furniture arrived!

Our OBYGN Appointment went well.  We had to see a different doctor this time because our doctor was out of the office for the month of November for surgery.  We had to go early so I could drink that "flat orange warm soda" for my Glucose Testing.  That is really the only way to describe it.  However, it was not as bad as everyone said.  Although, it probably would have been better over some ice.

Thus far...  I have gained a total of 17-pounds.  My blood pressure was 102/66 and Brixen's heart beat was 155.  According to the doctor, I am right on-track and she was very pleased.  The appointment went pretty fast.  I had a few general questions and they talked with us about Mandatory Maternity Pre-Registration.  I have to do that 90-days in-advance.  TODAY (Saturday, November 20, 2010) marks 90-days!  WOW!

My Glucose Testing went well...  I actually heard from our doctor later that night, which I was surprised since she is out for November.  My White Blood Cell Count was a bit higher.  However, according to my doctor, this is normal during pregnancy and it could get up to 20.  Right now, mine is at 16.  She also said that during labor, it could reach 30.  She didn't seem to worried so I just thanked her for getting the results back to us so quickly.

Brixen's Nursery Furniture came about 30-minutes after we arrived home from the doctor.  It was early and I was excited about it!  The delivery people were in and out quickly and even put it together for us.  The furniture looks better than it did in the store!  They are beautiful pieces.

Below are some photos thus far...  We still have a lot to put together and organize.  I plan to go order my glider with ottoman at Babies R Us soon so I can use my 20% off coupon.  Just a lot of odds and ends that I will get over the next couple of months.  So...  More photos to come later when the entire nursery is complete.  Enjoy!

We decided on an expresso color for Brixen's Nursery.  The theme really is just the colors, chocolate brown and light blue.  That will be used throughout the room and we also plan to put several Lion Stuffed Animals throughout the Nursery.  The picture of the crib is not completely finished.

This was me very excited!  After drinking that stuff for the Glucose Testing earlier, I was getting a bit tired.  So, I did what I could and took a nap.  That corner area is where the chocolate brown glider and ottoman will go.  Brixen's letters will go directly above the crib.  And, thinking about putting some shelves on that other wall, straight behind me.

So much to organized!  There is A LOT of room in this combo unit.  We will also use this as a changing table.  I have registered for the changing pad at Babies R Us and the changing cover is at Beyond Bedding.  It matches the rest of Brixen's bedding.  Adorable!  :)

I plan to put a large mirror above this combo unit so Brixen can look at himself in the mirror when Daddy or I are holding him.  Not sure exactly how I will organize the combo unit but that will all come together with him.  I do not want to overwhelm myself so I plan to do a little bit at a time.  Plus, we still have two more Baby Showers and Christmas!

Going to go watch cartoons with my Husband!  He is making us a delicious breakfast.  Can't wait to eat...  I am enjoying that more and more often these days!  Looking forward to relaxing this weekend and no big plans!  Have a great weekend!  Check back soon as we are still putting the final touches on our video from our PA Baby Shower!

Celebration Dinner

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 was a HUGE day for our business and future!  For the past 2.5-months, I have been studying to get my IL Brokers License.  This is something that Chris and I knew we would eventually want to do, especially to take our business to the next level!  Finally, I felt the time was right and the day after Labor Day, I went to purchased all the material for the Salesperson License.  I had to study that entirely and pass a classroom test before I was able to move onto my Brokers License.  It was A LOT of studying, Monday through Friday.  With a lot of discipline, patience, and support from my wonderful Husband, I passed 6 Classroom Exams and the State Exam!

A lot of you may be wonderful exactly what Chris and I do...  Good question!  In 2008, we started Blue Harvest Properties, Inc.  Blue Harvest came from Star Wars, it was the code name while they were filming.  As many of you know, Chris is a huge Star Wars fan.  Plus, the name is catchy.  We loved it.  Our slogan is "Planting Good Seeds in Real Estate."  We took a huge risk and left our corporate jobs to start our company.  I am sure a lot of family and friends thought we were crazy but we knew that we did not want to work a 9 to 5 job.  It just was not us!

We specialize in Pre-Foreclosures and Short Sales.  Basically, what that means, is we target homeowners in certain areas of Chicago, who are at least 30-days behind on their mortgage.  We have several different marketing techniques, however, now a majority of our business is based on referrals.  Once the client decides to work with us, we negotiate a Short Sale (a lot is involved but that would be way too long of a blog post) and purchase the property.  Our company actually purchases the property.  Our exit strategy really just depends because every property, location, and situation is different.  Sometimes we sell the same day, sometimes we rehab and sell after the rehab.  The strategy, of course, is determined before the deal is actually taken on by Blue Harvest Properties, Inc.

Since February 8, 2011 will be the start of our 4th year in business, I have developed a pretty dang good system!  As many of you know, I am extremely organized and you want to have a clean, concise, and to the point Short Sale Offer Packet when submitting to these lender(s).  There is a lot of research and analyzing involved.  You can't just submit an offer and that is it.  Plus, over the years, I have developed relationships with these lenders and know how most lenders work.  Typically, a Short Sale could take anywhere from one-month to 6-months.  Again, it just depends on the lender.  But it is all worth it in the end BECAUSE the homeowner WILL NOT have a foreclosure on their credit report and we have a great property!

I could go on and on about Blue Harvest Properties, Inc. but that is the short version of our business!  In addition, to Blue Harvest Properties, Inc. we also have Hot Damn Short Sales.  Over the past few years, I have developed different techniques and methods that made our Short Sale business successful.  I wanted to be able to share this with anyone across the country.  Right now, Chris and a team of individuals across the country, are developing Hot Damn Short Sales into a Internet Business for us.  I wrote a 150-page book on Short Sales and have so much information for someone to actually get started in this business.  The best part is WE ARE ACTUALLY CLOSING DEALS and NOT GURUS!  We have the proof!

With all that said, Chris and I wanted to take our business to the next level and with getting my Brokers License, we are able to do this.  We will be starting a Realty Company shortly (name coming soon!).  This will allow us to put commissions on the HUD and make even more money on our Short Sale deals.  We already have a guy who knows the ins and outs of branding a company and plan to sit down with him over the next couple of weeks.  He has already done a lot for our company and we are looking forward to having him on board!  Our goal here is to target families who own primary residences.  Right now, we are strictly dealing with Investors and we are family kind-of people and want to branch out.  Lots more to come...  Stay tuned!

Our Celebration Dinner!  Chris took me to Pete Miller's Steakhouse in Evanston!  We got there and Chris had a special table waiting for us!!!  And..  RED ROSES, BALLOONS, and A CARD!!!  Of course, I had tears in my eyes because he is such an amazing, wonderful, thoughtful, sweet Husband!  It was a wonderful evening!  To top it off, we had this really yummy dessert brought out to us with a sparkler on top!  I am so thankful to have passed my State Exam but most importantly, I am so blessed to have such an outstanding Husband!  We have such an amazing relationship...  He is my Best Friend, Soul Mate, and Business Partner!  CHEERS TO THE FUTURE!!!

Preparing for Childbirth - Class #3

Last night, was our 3rd Preparing for Childbirth Class!  Like I always say, just about every week, time sure does go by so fast!  It seems like we were just getting excited to start our first class and now, next Monday will be our last class!

At the beginning of class, we did some more relaxation techniques.  We use the stability ball this time.  I definitely want to get one of those...  They are very comfortable and I can use it for a lot of relaxation/breathing techniques during labor.  I enjoyed the breathing...  It really helped me relax.  Our instructor, Trish Sweeney, said we were doing a great job and that was how we were suppose to be breathing!  Yipppeeee...

We also discussed the "Pushing Stage."  Surprisingly, I am not nervous at all for labor.  I know that what is suppose to happen will and all I can do is try my best to relax and be patient.  Once the nursery is completed, I plan to sit in there every morning to read to Brixen and visualize our labor.  I truly think that if you visualize and belief in something, it will happen!  Especially, with patience and a wonderful coach, like Brixen's Daddy!

We ended the class with discussing Events Surrounding the Birth and Newborn Procedures.  A lot of this information Chris had learned in this book he loves, called "Eat Sleep Poop."  It is a great book for Dads.  He highly recommends it because it discusses everything!

Looking forward to the last class.  We have met other couples who are due around our time.  One couple is due two-weeks before us so we plan to get their contact information and keep in-touch.  It is nice to have others to talk to who are going through the same experience.

Our 1st Time Parents Class starts in December.  We are really looking forward to that one and hoping to learn a lot for what to expect when Baby Brixen comes home from the hospital.  Infant CPR and Breastfeeding are in January.  That is about all I will be doing in January!  :)

Week #26

Most of you know, Chris and I flew to Harrisburg, PA for our Baby Shower.  We left early Friday morning and got back late Sunday night.  So...  My Week #26 Update is a bit late this week!  I will blog later this week about our Baby Shower with photos and videos...  That will be a LONG ONE!

Week #26
Baby Bump Photo

It is really hard to believe that I am already at Week #26!  It seems like just yesterday we were planning how we wanted to tell our families.  Approximately 14-weeks to go and WE ARE EXCITED!

I felt pretty good this week...  As I am nearing the Third Trimester, I have noticed it is harder for me to do things, such as, put on socks, take off my boots, and shave my legs.  However, it does seem easier to do things in the morning.  I think this is because I stuff my face all day and by the end of the night, I am HUGE!  LOL!

Also, I noticed that I am starting to get tired earlier in the evening.  I am pretty good throughout the day.  And, if I do get a bit tired, I will take a nap or just relax with a cup of Hazelnut Coffee.  I am ready for bed around 9 PM now-a-days.  Fine by me...  :)

This upcoming week is a big week for us...  We have another OBGYN Appointment on Thursday, November 18, 2010.  Unfortunately, I cannot see my regular doctor because she is off the month of November for surgery.  But we are seeing her partner.  I guess it is good to know another doctor in the practice.  I have to get Glucose Testing this time.  Pretty soon we will start going every two-weeks.  The last month, it will be every week!

Also on Thursday, our Nursery Furniture is arriving from Buy Buy Baby.  So, I will be busy this week cleaning up the room for the furniture.  I also need to put the ribbon on Brixen's letters I painted for his nursery.  Just a lot of odds and ends.  PLUS...  I am starting to want everything CLEAN!  I had a hard time cleaning last time so I am thinking of hiring a cleaning lady just until after Brixen is born.  I am picky so hopefully, I can find a good one!

Alright, that is it for Week #26.  Check back later this week for an update on our Baby Shower in PA.  Chris is working on a video and we will post photos.  I will also blog about our OBGYN Appointment on Thursday.  I just love blogging!

Preparing for Childbirth - Class #2

Last night, we had another class!  This class was A LOT of fun!  Chris and I both enjoyed ourselves very much.  We can't wait to go back next Monday.  Only 2 classes left.

We started off the class with several breathing techniques.  Like I said last week, I think having taken Yoga Classes, I am aware of different breathing techniques.  However, it was nice to hear all of this from our instructor and have Chris there with me to support.  I definitely feel like it will help when I go into labor.

We watched another video of a lady who stayed home as long as possible before heading to the hospital.  When she arrived, she was already 7 CM dilated.  I know that is not always the case so I won't get my hopes up.  But our plan is to stay here as long as possible since we only live about 10-minutes away.  I feel like I will be more at-ease and patient in my own home.  Plus, Chris is going to be an amazing coach.

It was kind-of scary though during the movie because the fire alarm went off and all three doors automatically closed on their own.  I have never seen that before so we all were wondering what was really going on.  In the end, it was a false alarm!

My favorite part of the class...  TOUR OF LABOR AND DELIVERY!  We both were really looking forward to this part.  As we were walking to Labor and Delivery, there was a Dad carrying out a bunch of balloons (It's a Boy) and flowers for his wife who just had a baby.  She was in a wheel chair with the nurse holding her newborn baby boy.  It was a nice experience to see that and almost made me want to cry.  But I fought back the tears!

Labor and Delivery was a GREAT EXPERIENCE!  We saw two newborns in the nursery, one a boy who was 9-pounds, 11-ounces and a girl who was 5-pounds.  She was so tiny!  At this point, Chris and I were both imaging our baby boy, Brixen!  Again, it almost brought tears to my eyes but I held it back because there was so many people around.

We also got to see where we will deliver and where we will stay after Brixen is born.  It is a very nice facility and I am looking forward to meeting our BOY!  The waiting room is a nice area too so I think my family will be comfortable waiting for the new addition to our family to make his grand entrance.

Well...  That's all for the class this week!  Brixen has been very active the past few days.  Getting a lot of butterfly-tummy-spasms.  I guess that is what I am calling it now.  Kind-of hard to explain.  But I sure do enjoy them!  :)

Heading to PA on Friday for our Baby Shower with Chris' family and friends.  We will take lots of photos and video.  I will blog about it sometime next week and of course, update you on Week #26.  WOW!  :)

Week #25

Week #25 - Baby Bump Photo

Not too much bigger from last week...  I measured my belly and weighed myself this morning, it was about the same as last week!  Right now, my belly measures 40-inches!  Baby Brixen is growing and I LOVE IT!

This week, I felt great.  Had a lot of energy and got a lot of stuff done for the business and around the house.  I wonder how long this energy will last??!!??  I am sure now that I am 3-weeks out from my Third Trimester, I may start to get tired again.  I do notice at night, I get really tired and in bed by 9:30 PM or 10:00 PM at the latest.  It hits me all of a sudden and I can barely keep my eyes open!

I was able to wash all of Brixen's clothes this week.  I am sure he will get tons more but I wanted to get a head start.  It was so fun!  I am still deciding how I want to organize everything.  When it comes to organizing, I can get a bit annoying.  I always want everything perfect!  I know it will all come together but for now, I just hung most of the clothes in his closet and folded the onsies and blankets.  I took some photos...

Brixen is getting a head start on a lot of his clothes thanks to our family!  Like I said, I am not sure how I am going to organize everything but for now, it starts with NB on the left and goes up in month-sizes.  LOL!  So many cute clothes!  I love it!  Also, I took a couple other photos of his nursery...  It is a work in progress but is coming together.  Once I get everything cleaned out, I will vacuum and wait for the furniture to arrive.

As you can see, I took out the guest bed this week.  It looks messy now but it is coming together little by little!  :)

Here is a photo with his comforter, blankets, burp clothes, onsies, towels, and receiving blankets.  Actually, there is a lot on this iron board.  I am surprised it hasn't fell over yet!

Brixen's crib mattress, his little pillow, and the crib skirt.  I am trying to keep everything from getting wrinkled.  So far so good!  Can't wait to put the crib together!

That is about it for this week!  I was productive and looking forward to the weeks to come!  Next weekend, we are heading to PA for our Baby Shower with Chris' family.  We are very excited about it.  I am sure I will have a VERY LONG blog update for next weekend!  :)

Preparing for Childbirth - Class #1

On Monday, we started our first class at the hospital, Preparing for Childbirth (Lamaze Class).  For the next four Mondays, we will be at Evanston Hospital where Brixen will be born from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM.   So exciting...  Each week, I am planning to write in our blog about the class, our experience, and what we learned.  I really want to be able to look back on our blog from time-to-time and remember these special moments.

At the beginning of our class, we had introductions.  There are two couples in our class that are having twins and both due sometime in January.  Most couples were due in December and January.  Two of us were due in February.  I decided to take this class in November because it was not offered in December.  Probably because of the holidays.  I thought January would be pushing it and it really is not a month you want to get out in Chicago!

Our instructor seems really nice...  Her name is Trish Sweeney.  She was a nurse for many years and now teaches Preparing for Childbirth.  She started off the class with Lamaze Tools.  Things we can do to decrease fear, anxiety, pain, and sense of vulnerability.  In addition, she talked about tools that help increasing ability to make informed choices and assert control over the birth experience.  She believes in a "good experience."  Whether that be natural or with an epidural.

We went over a brief overview of the birth process, which includes four stages:  (1) Dilating Stage, (2) Pushing Stage, (3) Placental Stage, and (4) Initial Postpartum Stage.  I feel like I have learned a lot over the past few months with my readings but it is always good to hear this kind-of stuff from someone with experience.

Also, we went over signs, characteristics, feelings/emotions, Mom's role, and Dad's role for early labor.  This was interesting and I enjoyed this part.  Our instructor mentioned that it is best to stay home as long as possible before coming to the hospital.  Home is comfort for most people.  While I am planning to put together a birth plan, I know that things change.  That is just how life is but my body is preparing for childbirth right now.  I want my body to take its course.  I plan to be as calm and patient as possible.  With my Husband's support, I know I will be just fine!  Once we feel the need to go to the hospital, we will.  But I am hoping to relax at home as much as possible beforehand and definitely take a warm shower!

We ended the class with some slow paced breathing techniques, which I loved.  I think taking Yoga in the past will really help me.  I am sure as the class goes on, there will be more techniques we will be able to utilize plus we got a booklet of information.  AND...  We got to watch a video!  We actually saw a baby being born.  I knew they would show this video BUT I was not sure if I could handle watching it or not.  Really, it was not that bad.  A baby being born is such a miracle.  I can't wait to meet our BABY BOY!

Next week, we get to tour the hospital.  I can't wait to see Labor and Delivery.  Especially, excited to see where my family will be waiting when Chris comes out to announce Brixen has made his grand entrance into this world!  This brings tears to my eyes...  I love you already, Brixen!

MI Weekend with Family

It had been almost 2-months since we had been to Michigan to visit with my family.  We decided awhile ago that this would be a good weekend because my Aunt Sue, Aunt Sandy, and Cousin Amy were flying into South Bend to visit my Great Aunt Fran.  It was perfect because we were able to see everyone!

Chris and I left for MI on Saturday morning...  It was a nice, quiet drive.  Sometimes it is nicer to leave on a Saturday morning because there is no traffic and it seems like it is harder for me to sit for longer times.  We got there and my Mom and Sister were so excited to see us and my growing belly!  We went straight to lunch...

All of us girls met at Schu's in downtown St Joe for lunch.  It was so good to see everyone.  I think the whole restaurant probably knew that we hadn't seen each other in awhile.  LOL!  We were loud and gave lots of hugs.  Lunch went by quick.  But we took photos and had a blast!

From Left Top:  Ashlee (Sister), Me, My Mom, Aunt Sandy, Aunt Sue, Great Aunt Fran, Cousin Amy, and Denise (Great Aunt Fran's Daughter).

This is my Dad's side of the family...  It is really nice that my Mom still stays in-contact with everyone.  It was such a wonderful time.  I wish it was longer but Chris and I were only in-town for less than 24-hours and we had a lot to do!

After lunch, my Mom, Sister, and I went to TJ Maxx and Target shopping.  We found some cute stuff for Brixen.  I was surprised how much stuff my Mom and Sister had already bought for him.  We ended up bringing home 3 bags full of new clothes!  I love them!
Later that night, we all (Mom, Bruce, Ashlee, Kyle, and Kyle's Parents - Tony and Lisa) went to the Mark III for dinner.  For some reason, I wanted their bean burrito and it sure was delicious!  Yummy!  Craving satisfied!  Perfect day with my wonderful family!

We didn't do much after dinner because we were all tired from the busy day.  We just sat around and talked.  Ashlee showed us all the clothes she had bought for Brixen.  Everything is so cute.  I have looked at them so many times since we have gotten home!  Thanks Aunt Ashlee and Uncle Kyle and GRAMJO!!!

Chris and I decided to go shopping in MI City before we headed back home and that was a great idea!  Chris needed a lot for Winter and we found so many great deals.  He found a pair of jeans, two zip-up shirts, 2 nice sweaters, 3 long sleeve shirts, new sneakers, and a Winter coat!  So glad we finally found some stuff for him.  I even found a beautiful long, Winter white puff coat with matching gloves.  I can't wait to wear them!

It was such a wonderful weekend!  I am looking forward to the next time we see my family...  5-weeks, the first weekend in December for my Baby Shower in Michigan!  We are planning to put up my Mom's Christmas tree that weekend as well.  It will be another great time, like usual.

Not this weekend but the weekend after, we are heading to PA to visit Chris' family for our PA Baby Shower!  That will also be another fun weekend.  We just love being around family, especially now that the holidays are approaching.  Can't believe 2010 is almost over!

Have a great week!  We start our first Pre-Natal Class tonight.  Preparing for Childbirth at the hospital.  It is a 4-week class with a tour of the hospital at the last class.  We are very excited about it and I am hoping to blog about each class.  So, be sure to check back tomorrow!  :)
